Former Bayern Munich player and Netherlands international, Arjen Robben has announced his retirement from Football, a year after rejoining his childhood club FC GRONINGEN.
Although Arjen Robben didn’t get to play a lot of football in the past year with GRONINGEN because of injury troubles, his presence inspired the team to set new records.
Robben announced:

I decided to quit my active football career.
A very difficult choice.
I want to thank everyone for all the heart-warming support!

Although it is inevitable for every player to one day hang the boot, a player of Robben’s quality who could make exceptional dribbles and score unimaginable goals retiring is a very emotional moment for everyone.
