Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu has cried out, revealing that he may die in DSS Custody before his case is heard.
Kanu who was arrested in Kenya and brought back to Nigeria to face Treason Charges has remained in DSS Detention as per the direction of the court pending a hearing date.
He made this statement through his counsel who pleaded that he be removed from DSS Custody and a hearing date be fixed.
The IPOB leader who has spearheaded the agitation for the Republic of Biafra was arrested back in 2017 but released on bail on the basis of his health.
Although he broke the bail terms, he was rearrested in June 2021 and brought back in.
A hearing date has not yet been fixed.
