Nigerian Athletes who were recently disqualified in the ongoing Tokyo Olympics in Japan have taken to the streets to protest in a peaceful manner about the issue.
The Athletes who explained that they were disqualified because of a game of power between members of the Nigerian sports committee and Federal Ministry of sports walked the streets to express their dismay at the situation.
Although Blessing Okagbare had used her social media to express unhappiness at the matter, it is a seemingly unnew situation which has been rocking the Nigerian sports in general for a long time.
It is quite unfortunate that it is the athletes who would suffer the consequences the most”
Okagbare had fumed.
