An online vendor Joy Onoh, murdered on Wednesday in Makurdi, the Benue State capital.
The 24-years-old lady who graduated from Benue State University Mass Communications waiting to be recalled by the National Youth Service Corps was allegedly raped and murdered in the North Bank area of Makurdi.
She was said to have received a call from someone to come to a particular place at North Bank, a suburb of Makurdi to supply clothes.
The deceased’s mother, Mrs Grace Onoh, a widow with three children and originally from Obollo Afor, Enugu state, told reporters that Joy, who is her first daughter, had told her she was going to the North Bank to give clothes to some people.
Bu Onoh, who said she lost her husband about 12 years ago, told how her daughter struggled to go to college because of her small business.
The decease family lives off Adikpo Street behind NUJ secretariat Makurdi.

The State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Catherine Anene who confirmed the case said a case of a missing person was reported to the Police and a search was conducted.
“Investigation is ongoing to ascertain the cause of her death,” DSP Anene said.
